Nauthiz Upright Meaning
Nauthiz upright represents lack, need, and scarcity. It frequently points to sacrifice or the need to go in and take self-care. You may feel your needs are not being met by others, yourself, or the things around you.
Nauthiz indicates a time to have the patience to reassess your thought patterns for more beneficial ones. No one enjoys situations of lack and absence, but you will grow as a person from this time and come out stronger on the other side of things.
The Old English Rune Poem states:
You will prosper when you assess what you need and take action to resolve that need.
In a love reading, Nauthiz could also point to you or another person being sexually desperate.
Nauthiz Reversed Meaning
Although Nauthiz is an asymmetrical rune and appears to come out as reversed, it doesn't have a reversed meaning. If you'd like, you can ascribe an amplification of one of the upright meanings to reversed Nauthiz. Or, you can read the rune the same whether it comes out right-side-up or upside-down.
